EXPERIENCE
Piano aged 5 realized I had perfect pitch. Guitar aged 10.
First paid gig aged 13. Cello to grade 8 and Double bass in orchestras at school and university.
Turned
professional halfway through a law degree when band I was in was offered a
position as dance band on "Northern Star" Liner on 6 month
round-the-world cruise NZ to UK and back 1971-1972. Never finished degree.

Geyer's band while I was playing 6 nights a week at
Cleopatra's nightclub in Auckland 1979. They recommended me as a keyboard
player for Leon Berger Band who played 4 nights/week at Musicians Club in
Sydney. They paid my airfare to come to Australia and join the band.

CURRENT
AIMS
I would like to continue recording and performing but also to be seriously involved in building up the contempory music teaching scene in Melbourne.
I would like to share all of my hard-won experience with the up-coming generation and to inspire and guide them on their way to creating the new music of this century.
CONCLUSION
I am a friendly calm confident person with a ready sense of humour and a strong work ethic. I enjoy physical activity and love a challenge.
I have very strong inter-personal and communication skills and am able to relate easily to all kinds and ages of people. I worked successfully in music retail for around 7 years (1995-2003) and met literally thousands of Melbourne and other musicians in the process.
I have also been lecturing in two private tertiary music colleges (CCAT and JMC Academy) full time since March 2003 as well as tutoring on a variety of instruments. I am not stuck back in the 60s 70s or 80s in any way. I know and understand all that music deeply but also appreciate and compose in all the current styles from hip-hop to drum and bass to jungle and techno.
Being a guitar player I know how to get all the contempory guitar sounds
Being a keyboard player I can operate and program all the latest keyboards.
